On 3rd December 2010, Roke won in the Aerospace category of The Engineer Technology & Innovation Awards.
The Autoland project was funded by the Systems Engineering for Autonomous Systems (SEAS) Defence Technology Centre (DTC), who had the initial requirement to automatically land a UAV onto a moving platform. Bristol worked in collaboration with Blue Bear Systems Research, Roke Manor Research, MBDA and the SEAS DTC to develop and deliver this solution.
