The award recognizes a member of the ESVD who has advanced the profession through leadership and service that affirms an uncommon and sustained dedication to veterinary dermatology.
All ESVD members should be informed at least annually through newsletters and other announcements that nominations for honorary membership may be submitted by any member of the society to the secretary/treasurer on an official nomination form at least six months before the next annual AGM provided that the board of directors may waive or alter this notice requirement in exceptional circumstances.
The person(s) nominating a potential honoree should submit a brief biography, including accomplishments and reasons for granting honorary membership.
Honorary members receive a honorary membership certificate at the annual AGM. They are free of ESVD membership fee and receive the paperback issue of the Journal of Veterinary Dermatology. The annual ESVD-ECVD congress nor the World Congress fee are not included in this membership form.
