The grant from the Musici Trust contributes to a project on gathering data surrounding Additional Notation in the manuscript Toledo, Cathedral Archive, MS 35-7, in order to prepare materials for publication. As part of the grant, Wride will train a Research Assistant (Cassandra Fenton) to create material and use the Chant Editing and Analysis Programme (CEAP) and will create the first digitally transcribed chants from MS 35-7. The RA's specialism in Insular scripts will facilitate comparisons with palaeographical practices across boundaries, as well as providing the RA with the necessary skills to use CEAP for transcribing Insular manuscripts in the future - a first for the software.
