The Bristol Teaching Awards Ceremony, now in its third year, is designed to send out an unequivocal message. The University continues to value teaching at all levels including research supervision. On the awards night Helen's contribution to teaching and learning was recognised and the following words were read out to the audience - "Helen is a positive, dynamic and creative member of the Graduate School of Education. She teaches across ITE, Masters and Doctoral programmes, with the student experience underpinning everything she does. Her passion for creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating environment for all students is evident in her teaching style and the students are overwhelmingly positive about her. Helen has also been instrumental in helping colleagues use TEL in creative ways that have transformed student learning. As one nominator explaimed "She is a truly inspiring colleague to work with!".
