Project Details

Description

A current Newton Fund project in Bangkok, Thailand is measuring the toxicology of aerosols by sampling in one location. The project will purchase low cost aerosol samplers, air quality sensors and weather sensors for deployment in a preliminary investigation of spatial variation of samplers (eg, how representative are single point measurements). Three units will be taken to Bangkok to supplement the central sampling location and investigate spatial variations in aerosol, carbon monoxide and VOCs. These preliminary measurements will provide important information that will guide future studies of air-flow and pollutant levels using inert gas-tracer measurements and potential reactive gas-tracer measurements.
