This is an extension to a recently completed project on the attrition of domestic violence cases entering the criminal justice system across the North East of England. The main part of the project was finished in June 2003 and constitutes the most detailed study of such attrition in the UK. The extension to the project involves examination of a further sample of Crown Prosecution Service case files and will enable further analysis of the court process and attrition to be developed.
