EPSRC IAA Early Career Researcher Kickstarter award to establish links to the horseracing and horsebreeding community both at a national and international level. The primary aim is to conduct market research and explore where to use of early automatic detection of problems with horses will have maximum impact.

Key findings

Established links to studs in Newmarket (UK) and Wiener-Neustadt (Austria), which lead into an EPSRC IAA Exploratory Award to detect and monitor foal pneumonia.
