Layman's description

Pakistan’s expanding hepatitis C virus (HCV) epidemic makes up >10% of the global disease burden. Increasing accessibility to highly-effective curative HCV treatment presents an opportunity for healthcare providers in Pakistan to reduce HCV-related morbidity and mortality. This funding will pump-prime initiatives to evaluate and model the full healthcare costs, budgetary impact, and cost-effectiveness of implementing HCV treatment in a hospital providing free-of-charge treatment in Pakistan, which could identify optimal strategies for wider HCV intervention scale-up.
