Description

This is a working group to bring together academics in several fields, therapists from diverse backgrounds, and pagan practitioners. Our hope is that this dialogue will generate new resources for understanding and caring for mental and spiritual life in the UK today. This core topic ramifies into many others, such as the nature and reality of inhuman persons, their relation to human persons and groups, and their and our relation to sacred and secular practices, objects, and spaces. All of this may shed new light on classical Greek and Roman polytheisms, the diverse and rich theorisations of which will inform these discussions and events. On this basis we hope to develop a more extended, ongoing project in 2019-2020 and perhaps beyond.
