Project Details
Description
I visited University of Ghana to give a series of seminars on my research interests and outputs to undergraduate and graduate level students. Having completed a doctorate in computational solid mechanics, the students benefitted significantly from learning about new computational techniques and applications. For example, modelliing slip based deformation processes in metals using a mathematical tool such as MATLAB.
Also, research projects were developed in collaboration with the host. Due to the limited scope for experimental resources in UoG, the use of powerful computational software was encouraged and industrial applications as part of my current research were introduced.
