Energise – A 'digital twin' appraisal process for decarbonising community-scale heat energy

Project Details

Description

This project seeks to develop capability in risk appraisal for geothermal energy use. It focuses on systemic risk, where the challenge is not simply the identification of risks, but rather the identification of risk propagation through the various stages of development. The project will foster a new collaboration led by Arup and UoB. The work aims to contribute to economic competitiveness and clean growth and create capacity for the decarbonisation of energy. It aims to accelerate the development of new business models and to positively impact two Bristol 'One City' policy goals (decarbonisation and reducing fuel poverty). This is a proof-of-concept project.
