Engaging Multi-Generational Audiences on Climate Change through Storytelling and Physical Theatre

Project Details

Description

How do we open up conversations about the climate crisis, inspiring intergenerational audiences to make positive changes, both big and small? This Brigstow Ideas Exchange will bring together academics from English, Creative Writing and Geography and creatives from physical theatre company She Said Jump to exchange ideas about the role of storytelling and theatre in informative, exciting and empowering public engagement about climate change, ecosystem destruction, and environmental and ecological grief. The exchange will focus specifically on She Said Jump’s immersive aerial theatre project DIRT: A Circus Adventure Underground (which explores humanity’s impact on soil ecosystems and how this relates to the climate crises).
