EPSRC-IAA: Collaborative Microwave Circuit Design: Distributed-AI-Enabled EDA Solutions

This IAA project aims to refine digital design pipelines of microwave circuits and promote knowledge exchange among designers while preserving their technical know-how. Specifically, we propose to prototype a collaborative platform that integrates the latest artificial intelligence (AI) and electronic design automation (EDA) technologies. Through this platform, the expertise of designers can be jointly applied through different AI algorithms based on a distributed architecture without detail sharing to improve microwave circuit designs. The key activities of this IAA project include counselling industrial leading partners on the incentives, demands, and challenges for developing collaborative EDA platforms, prototyping and licensing the distributed-AI-enabled EDA technologies developed in UoB, and outreach to promote collaborative EDA to key stakeholders.
