Description
Public faith and finance is an 8-month project funded by the Barrow Cadbury Trust examining the role that faith organisations are playing in the development of alternative approaches to finance provision, and explores the contribution they make to building sustainable and socially just economic systems in three areas:
• Campaigning with the aim of creating a more sustainable and/or socially just financial sector (e.g., improving regulation of financial services);
• Advocacy of alternative financial systems (e.g., Islamic finance);
• Involvement in the provision of financial products and support (e.g., credit unions and other forms of microfinance, financial literacy services or debt counselling).
