Floods and livelihoods in the Central Highlands--Connecting

This proposal will inform the production of a comprehensive index of socio-economic vulnerability to flood risk, aggregated from household-specific exposure, in a typical DAC country on the path to structural transformation and subject to large uncertainty on future exposure to climate change.

The purpose of this grant would be to foster collaboration with the local university (Tay Nguyen University, Buon Ma Thuot) and local researchers led by Nguyen Van Hoa (Economics, Agricultural Economics). The collaboration would involve focus discussions at the analysis stage and build connections for a future, more sustainable partnership which would involve: co-production of future policy scenarios, co-production of a follow-up survey, possible collaboration in PhD supervision.
