Description

This project conducted six qualitative case studies in a cross-section of UK higher education institutions involving talking to employees of all categories and relevant senior managers/administrators about their perceptions and experiences of the operation of equity policies. Contextual information including equal opportunities policies and human resource management strategies was collected for each institution.

The project formed part of a HEFCE programme of research on equal opportunities in higher education which is also supported by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales and the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council.
