Description

This research identifies a clear research opportunity to investigate disabled people’s and their organizations’ (DPOs) involvement in decision-making, and to experiment in new ways of living well in terms of actively involving disabled people and their DPOs in decision-making which concerns their lives.

This research project is an interdisciplinary and co-produced scoping study, which strengthens links between the disciplines of Law and Disability Studies, academics and DPO community partners, to imagine alternative ways of effectively consulting, and actively involving, disabled people and their DPOs in societal decision-making which concerns their lives at the local authority level.
