Project Details
Description
Exploring the past and present pattern of radiocarbon variation in the carbon cycle, focussing on temporal pattern recorded in fossil carbonate deposits. Collaborative venture between Universities of Bristol and Heidelberg.
Layman's description
Tracing carbon in the carbon cycle for the past 50,000 years using geological deposits from caves or the deep ocean. Such data provides valuable constraints on the exchanges of carbon between the atmosphere, biosphere, oceans and sediments.
