Project Details
Description
Interviews with parents who have a stillbirth, and focus groups with staff from three hospitals who care for these parents, to identify what is done well, and what could be improved and how.
Layman's description
Although a lot of research had been done into trying to work out why babies are stillborn, there has not been much research looking at the care received by women and their families – which parts of this care are good and also which parts of this care are not as good. We feel it is important to talk to women and their partners who have experienced the death of their baby so that we can improve their care.
