Literary Translation Workshops: Evaluating Social Impact and Global Possibilities

Project Details

Description

This project plans to deliver a portfolio of activities connected to our ongoing research on the social role of literary translation training in sub-Saharan Africa. It will enable our work to date (funded by ESRC, AHRC, ERC) to scale up through exchange of expertise and experience between Europe-based and Africa-based translators and publishers. We plan a series of events in Bristol, London and Paris with the aim of creating a tool kit for translation trainers and best practices resource pack for Africa-based literary translators.
