LOCAL COUNCILLORS IN COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVE

This project formed the UK part of the larger Municipal Assemblies in European Local Governance research project. It entailed in the sending a questionnaire to local councillors in the UK about their roles, attitudes, and experiences of being a local councillor. Their responses were shared with research teams across Europe who had conducted similar exercises to form a large comparative dataset about local councillors in Europe.
