Climate change, poor sanitation and increasing closeness of animals and humans are factors that have led to a rise in infectious diseases across the developing world. Fasciolosis is a Neglected Tropical Disease (re-)emerging in animals and humans in many regions of Latin America (especially Bolivia), Africa and Asia. The disease can be
tackled through environmental management and we propose that our recently developed model can fill the current gap in models to guide such efforts.
