Project Details
Description
For this knowledge mobilisation project, a workshop will be conducted inviting practitioners supporting neurodivergent teenage girls, researchers working in neurodivergence and physical activity and health, as well as contributors with lived experience, to collectively share experiences and best practices for creating a Nordic Walking physical activity intervention. The workshop incorporates an overview of Nordic Walking, current research gaps and shortcomings in effective collaborations between practitioners, academics and neurodivergent teenage girls, followed by activities to facilitate collectively addressing key questions for appropriate intervention development. The workshop will create an environment of co-production, where individual contributors are equally encouraged to share their experiences of the meaningful inclusion of neurodivergent teenage girls in current physical activity provisions. Moreover, the workshop will be an opportunity to continue to strengthen an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration alongside creating a more effective collaboration with practitioners and contributors with lived experience.
