PHR Project: Final Agreed costs: NIHR Public Health NAP SACC Feasibility Trial

Project Details

Description

NAP SACC UK is an obesity prevention study taking place in nursery schools and other childcare providers across Cardiff and North Somerset. The study will aim to test whether we can adapt and use a six month programme from the United States called The Nutrition and Physical Activity Self Assessment for Childcare (NAP SACC). We will make changes to use it in the UK and test whether we can work with childcare providers to make their environments healthier.

NAP SACC UK is led by a management committee including Dr Ruth Kipping (SSCM), Dr Chris Metcalfe (SSCM), Dr James White (Cardiff University), Professor Rona Campbell (SSCM), Professor William Hollingworth (SSCM) and Professor Lawrence Moore (University of Glasgow), in collaboration with Professor Dianne Ward (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill).
