Pre-migration integration and language training for Pakistani migrant husbands

Project Details

Description

Marriages between British Pakitsanis and partners from Pakistan are common, with the Pakistani spouse normally migrating to join their husband or wife in the UK. Whilst the vulnerabilities and training needs of migrant wives are often addressed, no services focus on migrant husbands. This project will design and run a pilot pre-migration training scheme in Pakistan. The experience gained from this pilot is intended to support a future application for funding to run the service on a longer term basis.
