Layman's description

Care systems are increasingly shaped by the growing market due to the rapidly ageing population and increasing care needs. Embedded convergences of the marketisation of care are prominent at the international level, alongside cross-national adoptions and adjustments. Our new joint research proposal aims to investigate the changing role of families in the marketised care systems in the UK and China, by examining the shifting care arrangements, the marketisation processes, and policy responses.
