Project Details
Description
Reading the Self, Reading the Other employs a local book group, organised by the Nisa-Nashim Jewish-Muslim women's network, to undertake research into the role of reading in people's lives. As part of a larger project on representations of Jewish and Muslim women in literature, this study will help us understand how reading—and discussing literature—might affect the Muslim and Jewish women's own identities and perceptions of each other.
