Description
The environmental impact of research computing is shaped by a range of factors from scientific need to softer non-technical processes, including organisational policies, research community practices and individual preferences. This internally funded 'Enhancing Research Cultures' project aims to better understand the ‘people’ side of research computing at the University of Bristol, looking at how researchers access and use different types of digital infrastructure, the technical and cultural factors influencing their decisions and if and how environmental factors can be better factored into decision making.
