Description
'Rituals to Mould her With' is a performance and public lecture series that brings together historian (Kati Ihnat, Arts) with composers (Effy and Litha Efthymiou), a musician (Jane Chapman), dancer (Harriet Parker-Beldeau) and actor (Esme Rasey Ford) to explore the experience of rituals in the medieval past. Inspired by the information preserved in manuscripts from early medieval Iberia, this collaborative co-creation and performance creatively re-imagines the drama of past religious rituals for a modern audience, touching on issues of gender and control.
