Social Sciences for Net Zero

Project Details

Description

While there is a good understanding of the technological solutions required to decarbonise cities, there is less expertise and knowhow to address the complex interconnected societal issues to create a fair and democratic transition to a zero-carbon future. The research seeks to combine and integrate research agendas to inform a net zero energy transition. This project aims to initiate the development of a more interconnected research presence within the Faculty of SSL and beyond, to support an inclusive energy transformation by providing a research framework that can develop alongside, and directly feed into the early-stage development of City Leap - a public private partnership designed to leverage upwards of £1 billion of investment in Bristol.
