Solidarity through Safeguarding: Responding to anti-immigration harms in Bristol

Project Details

Description

This proposed work brings together academics from the University of Bristol with local groups affected by current anti-immigration actions and protest to understand differential impacts, identify challenges and gaps in knowledge, and explore how this period of unrest might be brought towards harmony. This exploratory work will be led by a team with expertise on migration, racism, community coproduction and arts-based methodologies. It will use creative and interdisciplinary approaches to develop ideas and collaborative relationships for a substantial research project. This initial phase will benefit local organisations representing groups of affected city residents, providing knowledge sharing and network building opportunities to support communities as well as enabling them to shape and steer project development.
