Project Details

Description

The aim of the project is to produce a valid, reliable and comparable measure of poverty for Latin America (LA) and to analyse the geographical distribution of poverty using spatial methods. The project uses Census data and household surveys to statistically examine the properties of current poverty measures used in the region. The findings and the syntax files will be made available on-line so that researchers can reproduce the results. The findings will be disseminated and discussed with relevant institutions in LA.
