What can we learn from the surprisingly large volume of transfers between village households in Malawi?

Project Details

Description

I will supervise household interviews aimed at uncovering the full network of social insurance (exchange of gifts, food, and labour) conducted in one 232-households village in Balaka, Malawi. Besides supervising the process, this will allow me to meet local researchers in order to create partnerships for future research.
