What it is to Be There: Exploring Grief, Place and Memory

This project will bring together an artist (Acklam), a Cultural Geographer (Brigstocke), and an academic researching grief and creativity (Dawson) to exchange ideas about the relationship between grief, creativity, memory and place. It will engage in practice as research, investing these ideas through Acklam’s site specific creative activities and also through meetings where we reflect on how our experiences and activities engage wider research ideas and questions.
