What Works: exploring a pilot model of place-based green skills delivery

Project Details

Description

Net zero policies could bring 50,000 new green jobs to the West of England by 2030, but there is a significant ‘green skills gap’, requiring regional strategies to ensure a just and equitable transition. In this project, we explore neighbourhood-level approaches to skills delivery. We focus initially on the Lawrence Weston area of Bristol and work with local authorities, employers, community and education institutions to co-design the delivery of locally relevant training for green skills.
