Projects per year
A pilot study that will apply TEI and GIS technology to a selection of examples from amongst the 3,000 postcards of Bristol forming the Vaughan Collection at the Bristol Record Office. Our interest lies in the correspondence on the postcards, and we will see what happens when we link the image on the front, and the address on the rear, and data we have about where the card was sent from and when (postmark). Then, working with a local digital creative partner, Splash & Ripple, we will see what happens when we send the postcards again to the same address. Outputs include a blog, a short film, and a visualisation.
