Description
This work began in 2000 and involves comparative research on young people’s experiences and perceptions of violence in the family in China and the UK, including exploration of different meanings, experiences and perceptions concerning violence in the two countries. The research consists of a survey of 500 University students in China and 500 in the UK as well as interviews. The work is being carried out in association with Prof. He Junping and Prof. Tian Lan from the Political Science and Law University, Beijing. A jointly authored book based on the research is being produced.
