Abstract
Following on from Berkhout's work on the "seventh signature" of Shakespeare, this short article examines the inscription in the same book which claims that Shakespeare lived at 1, Little Crown Street. It identifies the location and some of the residents of that address at the likely date of the inscription, the first half of hte nineteenth century.
