Abstract

The tertiary structure of human Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) from synovial fluid has been predicted by modelling the sequence onto the structure of the homologous snake venom PLA2 structure (Crotalus atrox). A model of substrate binding to the protein has been developed based on the predicted structure of the apoenzyme. These modelled structures are discussed.
