Abstract

Edition, preceded by a twelve page introduction, of the notebook of George Darell as sheriff of Wiltshire. Most of the entries concern livery of writs of process in common law suits, especially by the bailiffs itinerant. The notebook includes lists of various county officials holding office that year.
