Abstract

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common autoimmune rheumatic disease in children. It is relatively rare and thought to affect 1 in 2000 children and young people [1], and a significant proportion will continue to experience symptoms and require treatment throughout adulthood [2].
