Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant frontier; it is a transformative force already reshaping how industries operate, innovate, and interact with their customers. Among the sectors most visibly impacted by these advances are tourism, hospitality, and event management, as these are technologically high investment-intensive industries. They are also defined by their need for personalisation, responsiveness, operational efficiency, and increasingly, sustainability. As the world continues to evolve in response to post-pandemic realities, climate imperatives, and shifting consumer expectations, AI has emerged as a strategic enabler and not merely as a tool for redefining experiences across service landscapes. The book is organised into 10 thematically interlinked chapters, each addressing a unique aspect of AI’s influence across the tourism, hospitality, and event sectors. It begins with foundational insights into digital marketing analytics and advances toward highly specialised applications, including generative AI, holo-tourism, and AI-driven leadership strategies. Together, these chapters offer a panoramic view of the ways in which AI is enabling a new era of smart, immersive, and sustainable tourism. The book not only addresses technical advancements but also critically reflects on the ethical, social, and organisational implications of integrating AI into service experiences. The structure of the volume is deliberately designed to serve multiple audiences: academics seeking theoretical depth, practitioners looking for actionable insights, and policymakers interested in governance and ethical frameworks.
