Abstract

To assess the impact of interventions in patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD), it is important to standardise the definition of limb outcomes for valid comparisons and reliable evidence syntheses. This letter highlights the current variability of outcome definitions in PAD. Moreover, it aims to provide a pragmatic and easily applicable definition of the most essential limb related outcomes with a focus on drug trials.
