Abstract
In memoriam Hrant Dink, one of the most important intellectuals in the history of Turkey, editor of the Armenian Language newspaper Agos and a force for peace, who was gunned down on January 19, 2007 by a teenage assassin apparently supported by nationalist forces from inside the 'deep state' of the government/military. After lamenting opening gives way to driving sections with full percussion support a la Kardes Türküler (in Kurdish and Armenian and Turkish), the piece concludes with a setting of one of the old Armenian tunes Hrant and his wife Rakel loved the most.
