The article discusses the stimulating effects of caffeine, which is considered as the most popular drug in the world. It indicates that the per capita consumption of caffeine is high in Europe where tea and coffee remain the country's predominant sources. It notes that sleepy drivers and combat troops have been encouraged to use caffeine to counteract mental fatigue. However, it says that the regular caffeine consumption causes vasoconstriction.
