Abstract
A 3-year-old neutered female Golden Retriever with severe wound infection after pectineal myectomy procedure of the left hindlimb is presented (UK).
The area around the incision had become swollen and discoloured. Pyrexia and weakness had progressed to collapse. Surgical debridement, following stabilization, was used to debulk the infection, followed by wet-to-dry dressing to complete debridement.
