Abstract
This Collection presents descriptions of a series of datasets for use in clinical informatics fields. Datasets in clinical informatics are vital for improving healthcare quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. They can provide insights into patient care patterns, treatment effectiveness, and disease trends by aggregating data from electronic health records, lab results, imaging, and patient demographics. These datasets enable data-driven decision-making, helping clinicians make accurate diagnoses and select optimal treatments. Clinical informatics data supports public health by identifying population health trends and potential outbreaks, and it accelerates medical research by uncovering connections between health conditions and patient characteristics.
