This article appears in a special issue of 'French Forum' devoted to modern and contemporary French poetry. 'Coloursteps' addresses a blind spot in poetry studies (and in literature studies more generally) as it probes how poetry engages with colour, and evaluates the chromatic capacity of poetry.
