Computer-aided literary translation: an opportunity, not a threat

Abstract

The use of corpus linguistics and text-visualisation in literary translation enhances rather than reduces translator creativity, and unlike the use of machine translation and CAT tools, cannot be accused of deskilling the art of translation.
