Abstract

The authors regret the need of a corrigendum with the following changes. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Corrigendum Section 1. Introduction: The second sentence of the last paragraph was changed to. “Built on previous publication [46], the present study further investigated the weldability and mechanical properties of PG4 FBRWs.” [46] Micheletto, A., Cookson, J., Pang, Y., Chen, B., & Mutton, P. (2021). The structural integrity of flash-butt welded premium rail steel–Evaluation of strength, microstructure and defects. Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part F: Journal of Rail and Rapid Transit, 235(8), 1006–1012. Corrigendum Section 3.1. Micro-structural characterisation Fig. 4 (b) needs to add a reference; therefore, the caption was changed to: “Fig. 4. (a) Variations of longitudinal hardness measured from the rail head, web, and foot, (b) a cross-section of the flash-butt rail weld [46], and (c) temperature profile during cooling.” [46] Micheletto, A., Cookson, J., Pang, Y., Chen, B., & Mutton, P. (2021). The structural integrity of flash-butt welded premium rail steel–Evaluation of strength, microstructure and defects.
